Autoclave Engineers Universal Reactor Controller (URC) provides the temperature, pressure and mixer speed control required for the majority of our stirred and non-stirred reactor systems designed to operate in a laboratory environment. This compact stand-alone controller is powerful enough to control large reactors with the addition of an external motor speed controller that is capable of handling larger DC & AC motors in excess of the URC’s internal ½ Horsepower capability.
Electrical equipment used to control any and all reactor functions.
Universal Ractor Controller - URC: Process Instrumentation
Fully integrated control, monitoring, and data handling of temperature, pressure, stirring speed, and other parameters for laboratory style reactors
FEATURES
PID control of electric heaters up to 20 Amps using internal circuitry. An optional 35 Amp remote power box is also available.
Speed control is for a Permanent Magnet DC motors from 1/8HP to 1/2HP.
Adjustable setpoint ramping and auto tuning of temperature
An Over-Temperature control function will shutdown the vessel’s electric heater if the skin temperature exceeds alarm setpoint. An automatic reset function restarts the reactor when temperature cools below setpoint.
Optional communication package allows remote data accumulation and control. Works in conjunction with supervisory computer.
PID controlled Cooling Control Option controls external solenoid valve plumbed to vessel’s cooling coil.
Monitors and Controls Vessel Pressure, Inlet and Outlet Pressure Control is available using 2-way valves or electronically actuated metering valves.
120/240 VAC, 50/60 Hz supply power capability
BENEFITS
The URC is capable of handling all sizes of AED reactors from the Mini-Reactor to the 4 Liter Vessels.
Heating, Cooling, Mixer Speed and Pressure Control PID Loops all have a push button, Auto-Tune feature that will configure each control loop for optimum process control.
The URC can be used for intrinsically safe operation when connected to an Autoclave Engineers Isolator Package.
