The EZE-Seal® high pressure & high temperature, laboratory chemical reactor is
easily sealed using low torque. The "Double Delta" metal gasket
creates a seal with low clamping force by a wedging action in V-shaped
grooves. The 3,300 psi @ 850°F (227 bar @ 454°C) pressure
rating is based on the stress level limits of ASME Boiler and Pressure
Vessel Code Section VIII Division 1. (An ASME code stamp is optional).
See the "EZE-Seal® Pressure Vessels" bulletin
for pressure ratings at other temperatures

EZE-Seal®: Stirred Reactors
Seal
this (100 to 4,000ml) high pressure laboratory reactor with low torque
FEATURES
The closure design
can be sealed with O-rings for improved sealing ease with compatible
process fluids / temperatures
316SS & HASTELLOY® C-276 materials are standard; other corrosion resistant alloys are offered
Standard capacity
range of 100 to 4,000 ml is suitable for lab use as a continuous stirred
tank reactor (CSTR) & slurry
Access to the interior
is easy since the vessel can be lowered with all the process fittings
& tubing attached to the cover
A large diameter
fitting (with valve) in the cover is used for adding powders
& solids including catalysts & initiators
Sparging, charging,
blowpipe, sampling & cooling coil process connections are ideal for
most chemical reactor processes
The stirred reactor
uses a 3,300 rpm MagneDrive® magnetic mixer that eliminates
dynamic seals for trouble free mixing
Optional process
control instrumentation measures & controls temperature, mixing speed
& pressure
Obtain expert,
process equipment advice from the manufacturer & ongoing support from
the local, factory approved supplier
BENEFITS
Ease of cleaning & elimination
of foot bearings reduces the risk of cross-contamination. It offers easy
access for high pressure & high temperature, chemical synthesis of corrosive,
hazardous & very reactive chemicals / petrochemicals as well as solvothermal
reactions. It is delivered custom configured & after full functional testing
for fast & easy start-up. See ZipperClave® Reactors for pressures up to 2,200
psi (151
bar).
See Bolted Closure Reactors for pressures up to 5,000
psi (379
bar).
